Residential households: Central Financial Assistance (CFA) of ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 per kW for additional capacity up to 3 kW. The maximum CFA for residential systems above 3 kW is ₹78,000.
GHS/RWA: CFA of ₹18,000 per kW for common facilities, including EV charging, subject to the applicable scheme limits.
The scheme also aims to help households generate rooftop solar electricity and reduce their electricity bills. Benefits are subject to the applicable PM-Surya Ghar guidelines and DISCOM verification.
Eligibility Criteria & Conditions
Residential electricity consumer with a grid-connected electricity connection of the local DISCOM. The rooftop solar system must meet the scheme's applicable technical and eligibility requirements. Applications are submitted through the National Portal.
Required Documents & Verification
Electricity consumer/connection details, applicant identity and KYC details, bank account details, and other documents or information requested by the National Portal and concerned DISCOM during application and verification.
