OASIS Scholarship 2026- 2027: Who Can Apply, How to Apply & What You Need

The Oasis Scholarship is managed and introduced by the Backward Classes Welfare Department and Tribal Development Department of West Bengal.It is a Pre-Matric and Post -Matric scholarship for the Schedule Caste(SC), Schedule Tribe(ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) students of West Bengal.Under this scholarship students get from 230 to 1200 per month(for day scholars) or 13,500 to 20,00 per annum (for hostellers) on the basis of their caste and course level.

ELIGIBILITY

• Recidency : The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.

• Category : The applicant must belongs from the SC,ST or OBC category.

• Institution : The applicant must be enrolled in a recognised board ,school, college or university.

• Annual Income :Annual family income for SC and ST students must not be higher than 2,50,000. For OBC students the annual family income must not be higher than 1,00,000.

• Certificate : They must have their caste certificate.

BENIFITS

• Pre- Matric Benefits : *SC/ST Day Scholars will get 3,500 annually and hostellers will get up to 17,000(combined state and central fund). *OBC students will get 4000 annually (fixed amount). •Post-Matric Benifits: *SC/ST hostellers will get 380 to 1,200 per month according to their course and compulsory non-refundable fees. *SC/ST day scholars will get 230 to 550 per month and compulsory fees. *OBC students will get up to 20,000 yearly on the basis of curriculum. •Divyang Benefit : Eligible Divyang students will get 10% extra allowances.

APPLICATION PROCESS

• Registration : *Step-1 : Download "Yuva Sathi - Sarkari Yojana " app from Play store .Go to the 'Oasis Scholarship' section. Click on the 'apply now' icon for registration. *Step-2 : Select your district where your institution is located. *Step-3 : Provide your name date of birth and caste certificate details. *Step-4 : Fill all the necessary details to complete registration. *Step-5 : Download the acknowledgement slip that contains User Id and password. •Filling Application Form : *Step-1 : Login with the User id and password that was generated. *Step-2 : Fill all the necessary details. *Step-3 : Provide the DBT enabled bank account details. *Step-4 : Recheck all the information and click 'Verify and Lock'. *Step-5 : Download and print the application form. •Final Submission or Physical Submission : *Step-1 : Attach self attested xerox copies of documents that was asked to provide along with the application form. *Step-2 : Submit the entire application package to the local Block Development Officer (BDO) in case of a rural areas or the Sub Divisional Officer(SDO)/Project Officer- cum -District Welfare Officer(PO- cum - DWO) in case of urban areas /municipality.

RULES AND MODE OF DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT

* Amount of this scholarship will be credited by Direct Benefit Transfer to an Aadhar link bank account. * For pre-matric and post-matric SC students, 40% of the eligible amount will be given in the first phase and the remaining 60% will be given later.
